Satish Talim’s wonderful resource for a thorough collection of Ruby study notes and for those who are new to the Ruby programming language and in search of a solid introduction to Ruby’s concepts and constructs. There you can find tutorials, videos, classes, a blog with expert interviews and advice, plus more! If you’re new to Ruby or Rails, you’ll definitely want to stop by and check this site out.
iPhone on Rails
iPhone on Rails is a wonderful new project allowing you to work directly with Active Record models from your REST-ful Rails application in the iPhone SDK. By porting Active Record to Objective-C, Objective Resource is a wonderful interface for serializing objects to and from Rails’ standard RESTful web-services (via XML or JSON). And it handles much of the complexity involved with invoking web-services of any language from the iPhone. If you’re planning on developing for iPhone, stop by and check this project out!
