AOL and Yahoo - Good and Bad News

Posted by Blue Box Group about over 3 years ago...

We’ve resolved our issues with Yahoo, but now AOL is acting up and throttling our email again. We’ve moved a particular customer who was doing a high volume of AOL and Yahoo mail onto a dedicated server and expect the AOL email issue to resolve itself this week. We appreciate your patience during these touch and go situation. We will continue to monitor the status and will do everything in our power to get everything resolved as fast as possible.

box6 Upgrade to PHP5 / MySQL5

Posted by Blue Box Group about over 3 years ago...

This only effects customers who are on shared hosting on box6. If you are a dedicated, virtual, or WebDNA customer. You can ignore this email.

Tomorrow night during our schedule maintenance window, we will be upgrading the server box6 to PHP5 and MySQL5. A list of changes from PHP4 to PHP5 can be found here. The upgrade will simply require a restart of Apache and will result in no downtime for websites. 99.99% of websites are compatible with PHP5 out of the box, but if you discover that your website is having problems on Wednesday morning, please get in touch and we will assist in resolving any issues.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Update 11:41pm - box6 has been upgraded to MySQL 5 and PHP 5 and confirmed with a number of sites. Please check your site and let us know if you have any issues.

Thank you

Network Upgrade Tuesday, May 15th

Posted by Blue Box Group about over 3 years ago...

On Tuesday, May 15th, at 10pm, we will be doubling our network bandwidth. While our network is fully redundant and this should cause no outage for customers while it’s being completed, we wanted to post a bulletin just so people are aware the event is occurring. We will update this blog when everything is completed.

Thanks
