Network Maintenance: March 12, 2009

On March 12, 2009 starting at 11:00pm (March 13, 06:00 UTC) we will be performing network maintenance at both our primary and secondary facilities. During this event we will:

  • Upgrade router cr01.tkwl02 at our secondary facility
  • Re-integrate our redundant F5 BIG-IP LTM into our load balancer pool. (F5 has given us a clean bill of health on our hardware and configuration there.)
  • Do various other non-customer-affecting tasks

During the router upgrade at our secondary facility, we will be shutting down our BGP session with Internap. During this upgrade, machines at the secondary facility will be offline (the only customer machines at this facility presently are backup servers). Except for a brief delay due to BGP reconvergence, no public-facing customer services should be affected at all throughout the course of this maintenance.
