Our primary data center service provider has detected a failed component that is part of the UPS system backing up the power for many machines in our primary data center. This failed component requires immediate attention, so they are beginning work immediately to replace the failed part. Please note that this failure poses no risk of power outage, fire, or short-circuit in any of the data center infrastructure.
During this maintenance window, power for the machines on the circuits affected by this may be switched over to generator power. No interruption in power is expected throughout the course of this maintenance. However, as is the nature of any such work, an increased risk of an outage exists during the window.
We expect this to be fully resolved within a couple hours.
